A New Mast Goes Up. The Customer Slows Down.
The antenna is aimed at the mast that measured best on install day. Months later the operator lights a new site.
What SOCA Changes
Rural 4G And 5G Antenna Alignment
A directional antenna is aimed at one mast. If that mast is upgraded, decommissioned or heavily loaded, the aim has to change, and a fixed bracket only changes on a second visit.
- The customer keeps the cell that measures best today, not the one that measured best in March.
- A speed complaint is answered from the office before anyone is dispatched.
- The rotator is rated for the weather it will sit in all year.
The Figure
97 km/h sustained. Gusts to 145 km/h.
Cellular Path rates the rotator at 60 mph sustained and 90 mph gusts. It is IPX2, so shield the cable gland.
